About Us

The HDA Cultural Center is located in Waterloo, Ontario.

Mission 
The HDA Cultural Centre is a welcoming and vibrant hub dedicated to enriching the lives of all community members. Through cultural, educational, and wellness programs, we foster connection and healthy living and support individuals to thrive in a friendly and healthy environment.

Vision 
The HDA Cultural Centre is where every community member finds belonging, purpose, and joy. While celebrating diversity, we nurture social connections and promote overall well-being. We strive to build a caring and dynamic community that uplifts and inspires all.

Programs

Public Art Workshops

Learning both Western and Eastern art histories: fosters a deeper understanding of the cultural influences and artistic movements that have shaped the world of visual arts; and
Learning watercolour and acrylic painting from an established artist.

SoundCraft Workshop

The SoundCraft workshop series provides music classes to local music lovers among college students and in our general community.

Creative Ideas Forum

The Creative Ideas Forum is to support those with artistic, creative ideas or career aspirations by providing them a space to connect and collaborate.

Culture and Health Chatroom

The Culture and Health Chatroom is a space dedicated to exploring the relationship between cultural perspectives and health issues

Artistic Dance 

Artistic/fitness dancing classes: blending body movements and creativity to improve both physical health and artistic expression, as well as mental calmness, for all interested community members.

AI in Our Lives Lecture Series 

This section explores the principles and applications of today’s trending artificial intelligence, along with the opportunities and challenges it brings. We will discuss the usage and techniques of various AI tools, aiming to maximize their value and empower our lives, work, and learning.

At our cultural centre, we strive to be your home away from home – a vibrant place where creativity thrives and voices are amplified. Through dynamic programs, workshops, and events that integrate art, culture, health, music, entrepreneurship, and artificial intelligence, etc. we inspire thoughtful minds to reimagine traditions, share skills, and shape the future of cultural heritage.
